Wind energy in the deep-sea area is more abundant and capacity of wind turbines can be made larger. Therefore, research on floating offshore will primary strategy for exploitation future. The spar-type platform depends characteristics a small water plane, deep draft, good stability, which has been applied to commercial development energy. In next ten years, 10-MW turbine become mainstream class installed farm. Thus, it very necessary conduct comprehensive in-depth study spar type turbine. direct-drive was proposed by International Energy Agency (IEA) Task 37 2019. this paper, designed support IEA reference turbines, nonlinear aero-hydro-servo-elastic numerical model established using FAST tool (which developed National Renewable Laboratory, NREL). Then, accuracy sensitivity controller are verified, natural periods obtained free-decay tests. six degrees-of-freedom found within range recommended design standard. measured wave data target site close Fujian Province China used evaluate performance under 100-, 50-, 5-, 2-year-return stochastic weather conditions. results indicate that reasonable excellent hydrodynamic performance.
